Our first event featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright (Angels in America) and Academy Award-nominated screenwriter (Lincoln; Munich) Tony Kushner was a great success.

At our second event, Lisa Napoli and Tonya Mosley gave us great insight into the role of women in public media and how women have been able to shape news delivery.

Our third event was a virtual field trip into the topic of food insecurity in our backyard.  Regional experts Mark Lowry, CEO of Orange County Food Bank and Julie Lie, Manager of the Food Support Network for Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion presented an update on the severity of hunger in our communities, and what we can do about it. We also heard from four amazing individuals whose passions and projects have made a difference and inspire us to do more.
